Manufacturers that provide LCD screens to LG, Samsung, TCL, etc. usually use two types of "LCD screen spacers":
One is EPE foam material with a layer of anti-static film attached to the outside; the other is white anti-static IXPE foam;
The same point of these two materials is that the surface resistance can be maintained between 10^6-10^9Ω;
The difference between these two materials (1): "EPE foam + anti-static film" can only guarantee surface resistance between 10^6-10^9Ω, but volume resistance cannot be guaranteed; while "anti-static IXPE foam" not only has surface resistance The resistance is stable, and the volume resistance is also between 10^6-10^9;
The difference between these two materials (2): "EPE foam + anti-static film" has a low price; "anti-static IXPE foam" is about twice the price of the former.
If volume resistance is not required, "EPE foam + anti-static film" products are more economical and practical; otherwise, "anti-static IXPE foam" is recommended to ensure electrostatic safety on the production site.
At present, more and more LCD screen manufacturers choose "anti-static IXPE foam" as the LCD screen spacer. The general specification is 15 times white 1mm, 2mm or 3mm products. Some manufacturers also require surface embossing to increase the anti-slip property. . According to the requirements of LCD screen manufacturers, the specifications and shapes of white anti-static IXPE foam are also different. Some provide rolls (adhesive or non-adhesive), and some require cutting into sheets of different shapes for delivery.
